Recording methods in nature conservation planning

Content: To assess and evaluate different species groups in landscape planning, various methods are employed. This module introduces the most important assessment methods relevant to nature conservation planning for different species groups in both theory and practice. Students gain basic knowledge in methods for the assessment and handling of insects, amphibians, reptiles, and bats. The module includes field exercises throughout the semester (individually tailored to the taxonomic group), which are carried out independently by the students. The exercise areas are located in close proximity to the Ecological Station in Fabrikschleichach.
