The Ecological Station Fabrikschleichach is part of the Chair of Forest Ecology and Conservation Biology at the Biocenter of the University of Würzburg. The station is led by Prof. Dr. Jörg Müller.
Our station is located approximately 60 km from Würzburg in Fabrikschleichach in the heart of the Steigerwald Forest. Our station provides laboratories, classrooms, a library, insect collections, and much more.
The research focus of our team includes forest ecology, conservation biology, and applied biodiversity research. We conduct research in close collaboration with the Bavarian Forest National Park. Part of the working group is located at the National Park Administration in Grafenau, while others are situated on the Hubland Nord Campus in Würzburg.
