Our Visitors Program provides a unique opportunity to:
- Spend a minimum of two to a maximum of four weeks at the CCTB.
- Interact with esteemed experts in the realm of computational and theoretical biology.
- Take part in pioneering research endeavours.
- Acquire practical experience with state-of-the-art computational tools and methodologies.
- Engage in collaborative initiatives with a diverse and global cohort of researchers.
- Experience iconic buildings, stroll through our beautiful gardens, and experience the vibrant life at Würzburg city.

We offer
We understand that travel and accommodation logistics can be a barrier for many researchers. That’s why we are excited to offer financial support for participants in our Visitors Program of up to 2500€.
This includes:
- Accommodation: We’ll cover the cost of your stay during your visit to the CCTB.
- Transportation: We cover your incoming and outgoing travel expenses.
- Meal expenses: A standard daily allowance during your visit period.
How can you participate?
You can apply to participate in our program, and our committee will review your application and get back to you asap.
Who is eligible?
- You should be an early career researcher whose project would benefit from a computational approach.
- You should have a strong interest in interdisciplinary research.
- You should have proficiency in English as it is the working language of the CCTB
Application documents

- Research proposal outlining your planned project at the CCTB (Max. 2 pages)
- A letter of interest outlining your reasons for selecting the CCTB as the institution to conduct your research, the proposed duration and dates of your visit and how it integrates within the CCTB research groups (Max 1 page)
