Research

In order to understand extinction risk of species due to climate change, I am working on a mechanistic species distribution model, that also explicitly includes the metabolic level. I´ve been responsible for the implementation of the metabolic components. This model is developed in the BLIZ/ Bayklif research initiative from the Bavarian Government and should help build a knowledge base for the public & government officials to include the effects of climate change in their decisions.
