Visitors Program

About

The Center for Computational and Theoretical Biology (CCTB) welcomes visiting scholars and researchers to pursue research, traineeship, or teaching. For this reason, we established a scientific guest researcher program to invite scientists to come and spend time in CCTB to exchange scientific ideas and further intensify its research cooperation with both national and international partners. The main purpose of this program is to initiate and foster collaboration and joint projects of visiting researchers and CCTB members. Here are some facts:

  • Program Goals: promoting collaboration, enhancing research productivity, sharing knowledge and resources, developing new research projects, etc.
  • Eligibility Criteria: research interests, academic credentials, and experience level.
  • Two Programs are available: You can either be part of the Regular Visitors Program (2-3 days) or Research Stay Program (2-3 weeks).
  • Funding: Travel and hotel costs up to 2500 € will be paid by the CCTB

For the Regular Visitors Program, a member of the CCTB initiates each invitation. A committee decides on admission to the program at one of its meetings. After approval, the official invitation is sent, and the visit can be planned. The Committee chooses people of interest to our institute and invites them to come to the CCTB for a few days and speak at one of our CCTB seminars. Your stay lasts up to 3 days, usually Tuesday till Thursday/Friday. During the visit, guests can use an office at CCTB, and we will pay all travel and hotel costs.

You can also apply for the Research Stay Program and come and stay at the CCTB for 2-3 weeks to present and conduct your research and collaborate with our CCTB team. If you are interested in this part of the program, please see Research Stay Program.
